வடகிழக்கு மூலைக்கு ஈசானியம், சனிமூலை, இப்படி ஓரிரு பெயர்களில் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்து மத சாஸ்திரங்களில் இந்த மூலைக்கு அதிபதியாக ஈசன் இருக்கின்றார். இவர் வெண்ணிற நிறத்தில் இருப்பவர். ஒரு முகமும், நான்கு கைகளும் இவருக்கு உண்டு. வலது கையில் அபய ஹஷ்தமும், மற்றொரு கையில் அட்சரமாலையும், இடது கையில் சூலாயுதமும், மற்ற ஒரு கையில் வரத முத்திரையும் அமைந்திருக்கிற கடவுளாக இருக்கின்றார். இவருக்கு ரிஷப வாகனம். கௌரி என்னும் மனைவியை உடையவர் இவர் பிற உயிரினங்களுக்கு சுகத்தை கொடுப்பவர். மனதில் நினைத்ததை அளிக்கும் வல்லமை பெற்றவர். இவருக்கு சம்போ என்கிற பெயரும் உண்டு. இப்படி இந்து ஆகம விதிகளில் கூறப்பட்டிருக்கின்றது. இவருக்கு ஐஸ்வர்யம் உடையவர் என்கிற பெயரும் இருக்கின்றது. அதற்கு தமிழ் விளக்கம் வேண்டும் என்றால் செல்வம் உடையவர் என்று பொருள் ஆகும்.இவர பெயரை சொன்னால மரணத்தை அழிப்பவர் என்ற பொருளும் இவர் பெயரில் இருக்கிறது. இவரை பாலா என்றும் குறிப்பிடுகின்றார்கள். பாலா என்றால் சந்ததியை விருத்தி செய்கிற கடவுளாக இருக்கிறார். இவருக்கு கங்காதரன் என்கிற பெயரும் உண்டு. ஆக தண்ணீர் வேண்டுமென்றால் கிணறு தோண்ட வேண்டும் என்பதும்,இவர் பெயரும் பூதேஸ்வரன் என்பதால் இந்த இடம் குறைந்தால் பூத பயம் ஏற்படும் என்றும், சந்தான பலன் இல்லாமல் போகும் என்றும்,ஆக ஈசானிய திசையை வைத்து நாம் எடுத்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும்.வாஸ்துவின் படி ஈசான்ய திசை மிகவும் முக்கியம்.வடக்கு கிழக்கு சாலைகள் இருக்கும் இடத்தில் வடக்கு கதவை திறந்து வைக்கும் பழக்கம் வாஸ்து வகையில் மிகவும் முக்கியம். ஒரு வீட்டில் தெற்கு வாயில் அமைத்தால் கண்டிப்பாக வடக்கு வாயில் வேண்டும். அதேபோல் ஒரு வீட்டில் மேற்கு வாயில் வைத்தால் கண்டிப்பாக கிழக்கு வாயில் வேண்டும். அதேசமயம் வடக்கு வாயில் கூட அமைத்து கொண்டால் வாஸ்து ரீதியாக மிகவும் நன்மைகள் கொடுக்கும் வீடாக இருக்கும். ஒரு இல்லத்தில் தெற்கு வாயில் அமைத்து கொண்டு, வடக்கு வாயில் அமைக்காது,கிழக்கு மட்டுமே அமைப்பார்கள். அதுவும் பெரிய நன்மைகள் கொடுக்கும் வாயிலாக வாஸ்து சாஸ்திர வகையில் இருக்காது.
