வாஸ்து ரீதியாக போர்டிகோ என்கிற விஷயத்தை பல இடங்களில் சுட்டிக்காட்டி இருக்கிறோம் அப்படிப்பட்ட முன் முகப்பு மண்டபங்கள் எப்படி இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று பார்க்கும் பொழுது ஒரு வடக்கு பார்த்த வீடாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, கிழக்கு பார்த்து வீடு இருந்தாலும் சரி, ஏன் தெற்கு பார்த்த மேற்கு பார்த்த வீடுகளாக இருந்தாலும் சரி, தூண் இல்லாது தொங்கும் அமைப்பில் அமைக்க வேண்டும்.ஏன் என்று சொன்னால் ஏகத்திற்கும் முழுவதும் தூண் வைத்து அமைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம் . அது ஒரு 50 சதவீத அளவில் தவறாக இருந்தாலும் குற்றம் கிடையாது. அதே சமயம் போர்டிகோ பொருத்த அளவில் நான் தூண் வைத்து தான் போட வேண்டும் என்று முடிவு செய்த செய்கிற மக்களுக்கு நடுமயத்தில் போடுவது கூட ஒரு வகையில் தவறு கிடையாது என்பேன். நடுமய்யத்தில் போடும் பொழுது கிழக்கு பார்த்த இல்லத்திற்கு வடகிழக்கும் தென்கிழக்கும் கட் என்கிற விஷயத்தை நீங்கள் பார்க்கக் கூடாது என்று கூட நான் சொல்லுவேன். ஆனாலும் ஒரு பழக்க வழக்கத்தில் அது இன்று நடைபெறுகிறது இல்லை. ஆனால் ஒரு 40 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பு அந்த முறையில் தான் ஒரு போர்டிகோ அமைப்பை ஏற்படுத்தினார்கள்.ஆக போர்டிகோ அமைக்க வேண்டும் எனில் வாஸ்து விதிகள் முக்கியம்.
